Vallejo Travel Guide
Welcome to Vallejo, CA!
Located at the southern end of Napa Valley in the San Francisco Bay Area, Vallejo is best known as the home of Six Flags Marine World, one of the few attractions in the world to boast an animal park, oceanarium and amusement park in one location. Activities at the park range from watching the dolphin show to riding one of several world-class roller coasters. Vallejo is also the site of the once secret Mare Island Naval Shipyard, closed by the military in 1996 and now open for tours exploring nearly 150 years of U.S. Navy, California and Vallejo history. The city's warm, sunny climate facilitates a host of recreational opportunities including fishing, sailing and jet-skiing at the Vallejo Municipal Marina. No trip to Vallejo is complete without a tour of Napa Valley's world famous wineries, where visitors have the chance to sample fine wines and enjoy the scenery.
